The 10 Greatest Video Game Pets of All-Time

After Star Wars Battlefront 2 got struck down, EA’s Star Wars games have become even more powerful than you could possibly imagine. While the discourse surrounding Star Wars is hitting an apex of toxicity following the release of The Rise of Skywalker , fans should still remember that the franchise received two great additions this year: The Mandalorian and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Ord

Considering this, some may have expected Nintendo to announce Super Smash Bros. Deluxe or something along those lines at E3. While a port of the Wii U Super Smash Bros. would have been the most likely scenario, though, some fans are keeping their fingers crossed that the Switch gets a completely original version of Nintendo’s popular fighting g

One big omission from the Fable games of yore was the implementation of player-ridden mounts like horses. While there is a certain appeal to being forced to travel through the game world on foot, personally I find that I miss a lot of detail and off-the-beaten-path stuff when I’m racing past everything at 100 km/h, the thought that Fable 4 won’t have some kind of mounted beasts is n

From a technical standpoint, the graphics and music are both top notch. The Adventure games Collectibles only real negative in this category is that, more often than not, combat and controlling the character can feel a bit detached and clunky. While combat itself is rewarding, with the ability to switch between melee, magic, and ranged almost instantaneously to keep bad guys on their toes, actually controlling your character can be a frustrating occurrence. You will be plagued by the occasional cheap death, but thanks to not actually being able to die, you won’t have to worry about losing anything more than some experience points if you bite off more than you can chew. In the end, your enjoyment of Fable II will hinge on what is important to you in this type of game. If you are looking for an engrossing story with loveable characters, this might not please you. However, if you are looking for an impressive gameplay experience with tons of replayability, I could not recommend Fable II more. While it may have, once again, fallen short of being a classic, it is a large improvement over the first game despite its numerous weak points.

I initially slept on this game upon its October release, even though I enjoyed my time trying it at E3. When I recently got an Xbox One and Game Pass, I decided to download this game and have been hooked on it ever since. Lonely Mountains: Downhill is a great podcast game, and I have now played it while listening to everything from stand up comedy to podcasts to the last democratic debate. Still, even if I wasn’t listening to anything, the game remained enjoya

Tetris was already great on its own– just look at last year’s Tetris Effect –and splicing battle royale mechanics in there only embellished the whole multiplayer experience. As the game has received some single-player and local multiplayer modes since launch, Arika and Nintendo’s game has cemented itself as one of the best Tetris titles of all time. It’s becoming a mobile game too . That’s always a good sign, ri

Speaking of studios that have been missing in action for awhile, Rocksteady’s next major release has likely been in development for two years, but we still don’t have an inkling as to what it could be. There have been rumors that Rocksteady’s next title will be a Superman game or something else involving DC comic heroes, but nothing official has been announced so far. Batman: Arkham Knight launched two years ago, and the small Batman: Arkham VR project released last year, so fans should be able to expect to see something from Rocksteady sooner rather than la

I was simply addicted to Tetris 99 earlier this year. I played it every day non-stop and had to actively draw myself away from playing it when I had other things to take care of. While battle royale and puzzle games don’t seem like they would mix, boy howdy they certainly do. While Fortnite remains the king and Apex Legends brought a lot of innovation to the genre, Tetris 99 proved that the mechanics of battle royale aren’t limited to just shoot

One way Nintendo has been bolstering the Nintendo Switch’s library of games is by slowly porting popular Wii U titles to the system and throwing the word “deluxe” at the end. While some Nintendo faithful may be annoyed by this approach, it’s worth noting that roughly 12 million people bought a Wii U, meaning that the vast majority of gamers missed out on the Wii U’s biggest games, including titles like Super Smash Bros. for Wii

While many gamers have the press conferences for both Sony and Nintendo pretty well figured out, the big question mark in the room is the Microsoft conference. There are a few titles that most expect to see from the company, but there is a lot of mystery in the air, and a hope that some really huge surprises are lying in w

E3 2017 is now in the books, and like usual, it was a huge show featuring a wide variety of games. Some of the industry’s biggest upcoming games were on display at E3, like God of War , Star Wars Battlefront 2 , Super Mario Odyssey , and more. All things considered, there was a little something for everyone at E3 2017, but even so, there were some games we were hoping to see at the show that didn’t appear for one reason or anot
