This is the toughest crate to find unless you explore each building thoroughly. The Gear Crate in Overlook Town is located inside the basement of the Panorama grocery building. Once inside the building, walk all the way to the back where you will find storage. To your right, there should be double doors leading to the basement. The only notable thing in the basement is the Gear Crate.
Citrus County will probably be your second or third settlement discovery while playing Once Human for the first time. Rotten Manor is your first introduction to settlements, where you will be tasked with finding others. Citrus County is the next closest settlement to Rotten Manor.
Cast your line and when a fish takes the bait, press LMB/R2/RT to start reeling. A blue ring will form around the fishing reel icon on the bottom of the HUD — if you hold your Reel button until the ring turns red, your line will break. Failing to hold the button will also cause the line to snap, so try to keep the ring half-full.
Sometimes settlements will only have a weapon crate instead of both a Gear and Weapon Crate. Citrus County has a Weapon Crate inside the house that is adjacent to the building the Mystical Crate was in .
Citrus County has this purple orb above the house . To reach this orb, you will have to go inside the house and reach the second floor. Where the Weapon Crate was, you are able to walk out onto the roof .
Players in Once Human will be managing their hunger and thirst, able to take care of both with varying methods. A third aspect of the character to manage is their sanity , which will quickly go down by eating bad food or drinking dirty water.
The Weapon Crate is the easiest to spot in Overlook Town. It sits ominously in the center of a small stadium in with a broken screen. If you walk too close to the broken screen, a mini-boss fight will ensue against a giant deviant.
When in the Gear Workbench menu, players can select which gun type and tier they want to craft. Along the bottom of the weapons, menu will be the various parts that need to be crafted to make that weapon. You’ll need enough materials to make all three parts at once , as one part can’t be made and set aside, all three parts will need to be crafted at the same time, making the gun in the process. While guns are useful tools, players should first secure a steady source of food and water .
I’m speculating that Once Human will have an excellent launch on Steam – it’s a shiny new free-to-play game after all – but those numbers will start to slip after the first server wipe. And then slip some more after the next one, and so on. Once Human needs to have the unbelievable sticking power of Rust to contend with its rivals. The main issue is that a six-week wipe is a lot longer than a three-week wipe. Rust is temporary, ephemeral – progress always comes and goes. But Once Human is a much longer, hard-fought slog. People will only stick around if they feel like it’s worth it. And whatever else the game does well, it’s going to have to do it extremely well to keep people coming back every six we
Before you can start catching fish, you’ll need to craft some bait first. The earliest type of bait you can craft is Dough Fish Bait, which is made using 1 Corn. You can find Corn in certain farms — one convenient spot to get Corn early in the game is in Meyer’s Market. If you’ve amassed lots of Energy Links while playing Once Human patch notes|https://oncehumanworld.com/ Human , then consider buying bait instead from Margerie, an NPC vendor by the pier in Meyer’s Market.
Overlook Town is going to be one of your first bigger settlements to discover in Once Human . The smaller settlement discoveries are easier to handle because you can find the loot crates better with a smaller playing ground. Overlook Town has a lot of different buildings, making it hard to know where to look.
There are secret, seasonal rare chests that can be found around the world. To enable these rare chests, you have to walk into these purple orbs . Doing so reveals a chest . Sometimes you will have to parkour your way around structures in order to access these strange orbs.
This sort of seasonal wipe model suggests that the game simply isn’t engaging enough to hold its player base for a long time. I often think this about Diablo. If the game is so great, why do I need to start it from the beginning every couple of months? Rust, of course, has its own special kind of audience, but the same logic applies there. What’s the point of a game that wipes all your progr
Take scraps back to the Disassembly bench to break them down into various materials based on what you collected, and take those back to the Gear Workbench to try and craft your gun. Some guns will also require smithing materials such as Tin , Copper, and Iron, which can be obtained through mining and using a Furnace to smelt the materials.
During server crossover, your character will retain some skills, blueprints, and some other bits and pieces (we don’t know for sure yet, we’ll just have to wait and see). However, all other progress is lost. That huge base you built and grinded for over the course of a month and a half? It’s gone. Your resources, weapons, absolutely everything else? G
