DualShockers’ Game of the Year 2018 Staff Lists — Ben Walker’s Top 10

With so much to do, you’d be forgiven for not uncovering each and every hidden gem contained within the game (especially so now that attention is being diverted to the brilliant Red Dead Online beta that’s currently underway). This is where we step

In the early quarter of the game, you assign the help of Nigel West Dickens, a snotty and theatrical man who is literally a snake oil salesperson. West Dickens suggests you connect with his colleagues Irish and Seth to help in your mission to break into Fort Mer

He even calls it a paradise on earth—so what happens when you finally make it over the border? Irish up and leaves back to the US never to be seen again. It’s a weird move considering his existence in the States is beyond miserable, plus the trip has been one arduous and dangerous ride—yet for no specific reason, he heads back ag

Aside from becoming the most popular video game on the planet, Fortnite actually helped me expand on my career this year. I started off the year at various other outlets before eventually branching out into writing about Fortnite . __ Writing about this game actually allowed me to open up my experiences in games writing, and I actually ended up here at DualShockers because of it. I’m happy at the journey this game allowed me to take, and the memories I’ll have because of it. As much as it can suck sometimes waking up early in the morning to write about patch notes, it gives me the motivation to keep going and not just lay in bed all day. Thank you, Fortnite . You can suck it if you blindly hate this game. That’s my two cents.

Hot air balloons are not the only method of flight popular at the end of the 19th Century, it seems. To find this reference to the first Red Dead Redemption 2 secrets Dead Redemption , make your way to Big Valley in the northwest corner of West Elizabeth. Go southwest of the stilt shack, and you’ll find this primitive flying machine laying ruined in the trees. It seems that its inventor may still have some way to finessing their plan. As well as being really neat, it’s also one of the points of interest required for 100 percent complet

Those smart enough will be able to track down their man, hogtie him, and take him to the Sheriff, picking up a $20 reward for their effort. Not monumental, but certainly an experience worth undertak

Throughout RDR2 , you’ll meet a number of NPCs who tell you interesting stories about residents all over the expansive open world map. One of them comes from a woman whose horse passed on the side of the road, she explains that there’s a girl in Emerald Ranch who never leaves her ho

It’s nice to see a Call of Duty game be fun again, and actually feel somewhat balanced. Blackout is another story – that mode absolutely sucks. Zombies becomes more and more complicated every year, so much so that I don’t feel like it’s a “casual mode” anymore. All I want is for me and my friends to jump into zombies and see how long we last, but the maps are too convoluted and you have to do a crap ton of objectives just to unlock the better weapons. I want Zombies from the original Black Ops back.

By the time we first meet Dutch in the first game, he’s a shell of a man still fighting uselessly against the march of civilization. A single glance at him might still reveal a glimmer of a great man worthy of John’s loyalty, but many players found it difficult to understand how John could have followed such an obvious madman. RDR2 answers this by presenting a much more lucid Dutch at the beginning of the narrative, still filled with his trademark charm and wit. As the story continues and pressures mount, we witness Dutch slipping towards his inevitable heartbreaking fall into madn

We’ve taken a look back at all of the countless hours we’ve plowed into Red Dead Redemption 2 so far, and put together 25 hidden plotlines that you’re sure to have missed in your first run through! Some of them take just a few minutes to discover, whilst others involve hours of memorable questing, resulting in some fantastic rewa

Her missing poster says that she’s been gone for fifteen years and that she was last seen around the Van Horn Trading Post. I scoured that place for 45 real-time minutes looking for clues. I came up empty. So imagine my disappointment when I caved and looked online for answers and found out there were n

God of War is a masterpiece; a project with the absolute intent of demolishing any of its competition Kratos-style. The game was my first foray into the God of War series, and playing the original remastered trilogy makes me just wanna go back to the new one. It’s such a damn good game that if I went into everything amazing about it, then this article would never be finished.

Tetris Effect is a gem of an experience. With incredible, entrancing visuals that make you feel like you’re in either the next Star Wars combined with a mixture of audio that flies around your brain and sucks you into the dreamscape, Tetris Effect is a masterpiece. Each movement subtly synchronizes itself with the music playing in the background, with the BPM adapting to your placements and rotations. For something as simple as Tetris , this game really puts an Effect on you.
