The wet pendulum and dry floor friction test methods (Appendices A and B) may not apply to heavily profiled surfaces. Our technicians are highly trained and utilise the latest technology available including wet pendulum tests to ensure our clients have peace of mind Regular monitoring involves slip resistance testing with either or both methods in AS/NZ 4663. Continuous monitoring of your pedestrian surface through regular testing will ensure the risk of slipping remains known and a responsible risk management plan is maintaine
Get in touch with Presto Enviro today to know how the UV Accelerated Weathering Tester is going to revolutionize your production process and the quality of your products. Any industry that manufactures Weathering UV Exposure Testing products that come into contact with the outdoor environment can make use of these tests. For the coating industries that manufacture automobiles, textiles, plastics, paints, and so on, UV Accelerated Weathering Testers are a must. Presto Enviro’s UV Accelerated Weathering Tester simulates sunlight and rain exposure on material in controlled laboratory condition
Dunlop Pro Rapid Waterproofing
• Multi-purpose use, suitable for all under tile applications. A waterproofing bond breaker is designed Weathering UV Exposure Testing to allow normal building movement to be accommodated by a waterproofing membrane. We also have cementitious 2 part membranes that eliminate the need for reinforcement layers, thus saving application time and mess. Depending on the area to be waterproofed, our range includes ready-to-use acrylic and polyurethane membranes that can be applied directly out of the pai
Slip Testing Services can help ensure your trafficable areas meet Australian Standards related to slip resistance – AS 4586 (new surfaces) and AS 4663 (existing surfaces). For additional advice on slip resistance testing and to arrange a consultation, contact our team. Whether we’re providing slip resistance testing or advice and support for your organisation, you can be confident in our recognised experience and expertise. The specialists at Safe Environments provide independent NATA accredited floor slip test services to assess the risk of slip and fall accidents. Our team also performs regular onsite slip testing and slip accident investigations, public liability risk assessments and we provide expert witness evidence in slip and fall accident
Vector Mapping, sponge and other methods are able to detect breaches in waterproofing membrane applications and may be prescribed in specifications. ELD creates an electric circuit through a non-conductive membrane to find coating film discontinuities that are not Weathering UV Exposure Testing readily visible. Electronic Leak Detection is a testing method applied to many waterpoofing membranes as a method of checking for the continuity of the membran
Q-Lab can help you determine the best comprehensive test plan for your products and materials. These two test types are complementary and, performed together, make up a complete weathering test program. Water can be present in the form of dew (condensation), relative humidity, and rainfall. Water can also cause physical effects like erosion, absorption, freeze/thaw stress, thermal shock, and material loss from impact. Browse our weathering industries pages and case studies for examples of weathering durability testing, or check out this general testing guid
AS/NZS 4858: Wet Area Waterproofing Membrane Testing
AS 4654 is the primary Australian standard that relates to the physical performance properties of waterproofing membranes specified for use in external, above ground waterproofing systems applied to roofs, decks, balconies and planter boxes in buildings to prevent water ingress and protect Weathering UV Exposure Testing structures from moisture damage. Waterproofing Integrity otherwise possess other electronic leak detection methodologies which are achieved with a low voltage DC current through wet applications. Electronic Leak Detection [ELD testing] is fast becoming the preferred testing method for builders, waterproof manufacturers and waterproofing contractors who understand time is money on a building site.
AS 4654.1: Waterproofing Membranes for External Above Ground Use Testing
Detec Australia, serving the building industry since 2003, develops and provides leading-edge technology in the field of Electronic Leak Detection (ELD) internationally. Cooper and Oxley engaged Detec Australia to test the liquid membrane being installed on the carpark deck and terrace walkway and gardens with retail areas, changerooms etc directly below to ensure no leaks were found in the waterproof membrane. Freyssinet were contracted to remove tiling, repair existing waterproof membrane on one half of the building which had been replaced 2 years earlier and install a new membrane system on the remaining half. Faulkner Road Community Centre currently being built by PACT Construction required as per Architects specification provided by Bollig Architects to have the Soprema waterproof membranes fully tested by Detec Australia
An exposed membrane that has de-laminated from its substrate can be more easily cut torn when force is applied. Membranes that are designed to be fully bonded to their will exhibit reduced performance where a sufficient bond is not present. Adhesion testing is a destructive test most commonly applied on exposed areas such as rooftops and podiums. Coupled with architectural designs and material selection, waterproofing isn’t as simple as applying a coating. Australian Standards, the National Construction Code and Housing Provisions outline minimum requirements to be adhered to waterproofing system installations.
